Product Description

James S.A. Corey once said "You take care of your tools, your tools take care of you." It is a quote that inspired us to create a conditioner specifically for tools.

We experimented with several different recipes for months, trying to find the best product for protecting wooden tool handles against things like water penetration/absorption, weather, wear & tear, and durability. The winner of those trials (which also featured several competitors' products) has become our Axe and Tool Handle Wax!

This product is designed to protect wooden tool handles from the elements but is great for the metal parts of your tools as well. If wood gets dried out, or if metal gets rusty, they are more likely to fail when you need them the most.

Protect your tools with KingsFleet - Axe and Tool Handle Wax, so that they last a lifetime and perform exactly how you need them to every time you pick them up.

So if you are looking for a simple way to protect your wooden tool handles from the elements and keep them looking and performing great, then look no further.

Try it on axes, hammers, saws, mauls, or anything wood that will be held in the hand and worked hard!

USES:

  • Axe Handles: Prevent drying, cracking, and splintering from heavy use and outdoor exposure.
  • Hammer Handles: Keep wooden handles smooth, grippy, and protected from moisture damage.
  • Hand Saws: Condition both the wooden grip and metal blade for optimal longevity and comfort.
  • Mauls and Splitting Tools: Strengthen the handle and seal out moisture for safer, longer-lasting performance.
  • Chisels and Carving Tools: Protect intricate wooden handles and prevent rust buildup on metal parts.
  • Garden Tools: Shield rakes, hoes, and shovels from weathering and wear with a water-resistant finish.
  • Wooden Mallets: Maintain a comfortable, clean grip and protect against degradation.
  • Tool Restoration Projects: Restore life to vintage or heirloom tools by reviving both wood and metal surfaces.
  • Workshop Tools: Keep regularly used shop tools looking and performing like new with routine care.
  • Walking Sticks or Wooden Handles on Gear: Great for any wooden item that gets frequent handling and exposure

KingsFleet™ - Tool Handle Wax
INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Prepare the Tool Handle:
    • Clean: Remove any dirt, grime, or old residue using a damp cloth or mild soap and water. Dry the handle thoroughly before proceeding.
    • Smooth: If the handle is rough, splintered, or heavily worn, lightly sand it with fine-grit sandpaper to create a smooth surface. Wipe off any sanding dust.
  • Apply the Wax:
    • Using a clean cloth or applicator pad, scoop a small amount of KingsFleet Tool Handle Wax.
    • Rub the wax onto the wooden handle in small, circular motions. Work the product into the wood, ensuring even coverage.
  • Focus on High-Wear Areas:
    • Pay extra attention to areas where the handle experiences the most wear or contact. This includes the grip and spots exposed to moisture or friction.
  • Allow Absorption:
    • Let the wax sit and absorb into the wood for at least 30 minutes. For deeper conditioning, leave it overnight in a cool, dry place.
  • Buff the Handle:
    • Once the wax has absorbed, use a clean, soft cloth to buff the handle.
    • Buffing enhances the wood’s natural sheen, smooths the surface, and removes any excess wax.

Tips for Best Results:

  • Reapply as Needed: For frequently used tools, reapply every 4-6 weeks or after exposure to harsh conditions.
  • Storage: Store your tools in a dry environment to prolong the effects of the wax.
  • Prevention: Avoid submerging wooden handles in water, which can strip the wax and damage the wood.
